If you think you can just rent a space, cater some food, and invite your people, you may be in for a rude awakening. I admit I put the cart before the horse quite a bit when I first started doing retreats, so much of what I will share is truly wisdom born of pain. There are liabilities to consider when you book certain venues. I'll show what fine print to look for and what to ask for up front. It's also dangerous to assume you know what people want. Creating a theme and hoping it sells is super risky and likely not going to fill. I'll share critical tips for pricing your event, protecting your investment, picking partners, avoiding hidden expenses and provide proven marketing techniques.

Sadly, most retreats are primarily a social event or merely training in a pretty place. But true transformation is what gets people to come back again and again. I will show you how to make sure your clients leave with an epiphany or some direction towards an improved life. There are tricks for creating an environment safe enough for vulnerability, while keeping it light and fun, without overstepping your area of expertise.
And what separates a good retreat from an amazing retreat is the attention to detail and the ability to surprise and delight. The little things mean a lot.
